Christopher Micallef and Miriam Pocock have joined Citadel Insurance plc as head of Life and Financial Services and head of Marketing and Sales respectively.

Mr Micallef comes with more than 10 years experience in life assurance, investments and pensions, having worked with two of the larger organisations already operating in these fields in Malta.

With this recent appointment, Citadel will seek to consolidate its past efforts with a view to providing more value services while comprehensively expanding its operations in financial services and pensions.

Mr Micallef graduated with a B.Sc. in maths and computer studies from the University of Malta and has a Diploma in Management from Henley. Currently, he is also following studies in Actuarial Science.

Ms Pocock has a Masters degree in Marketing and a degree in Business Management from the University of Malta. With over 15 years experience in marketing and management, Ms Pocock has been instrumental in many market research projects, in devising marketing strategies and launching promotional events in a number of sectors for various companies both locally and abroad.

She is also a part-time lecturer in Marketing at the University of Malta.

The two new posts will serve to compliment and further build on Citadel's professional team and effort in strengthening its existing business and customer relations in both the domestic and commercial sectors, across its various departments and products in the insurance and financial services sector.

Joseph N. Tabone, chairman Citadel Insurance plc, augured the new appointments as a positive move in bringing forth and integrating new ideas and concepts, as part of the company's philosophy and strategy for growth and business development.
