Perhaps it is apt to point out to Renè Rossignaud (Swieqi: Two-Way Dialogue, February 2) that one of the streets worst hit by two-way traffic in Swieqi is our busy Triq is-Sidra.

If he is against this, perhaps he could suggest an alternative, the only one that comes to mind being prohibiting parking of all vehicles in this street, even if they are house owners' vehicles. But that would be preposterous, wouldn't it?

The correspondent's "two-way dialogue", when held by the local council last year, unfortunately proved inconclusive.

So, for how many more months must we wait to follow the lead of other localities and introduce the long overdue one-way system in Triq is-Sidra?
