Formula One newcomers Spyker expect a tough few months ahead in what they see as a new start after failing to score a point last year.
Unveiling their new Ferrari-powered F8-VII car, team principal Colin Kolles predicted a "transition year" with the focus on reliability and improved performance.
"We know that the first half of the season could be challenging for the team, but with the stability that Spyker has brought with it, we've got a real direction and focus now," he said in a statement.
Dutch luxury sportscar maker Spyker bought the Russian-licensed Midland team - who had previously bought out Silverstone-based Jordan - and renamed it.
In a sign of their ambition, Spyker signed an engine deal with Ferrari and brought in former Jordan, Renault and Toyota technical director Mike Gascoyne.
