IT giant supports NGO

Microsoft has helped BirdLife Malta change its entire IT system under a sponsorship agreement. The company has provided Windows XP Operating Systems and MS Office Professional systems to equip the new network at the BirdLife office in Ta' Xbiex.

Microsoft has helped BirdLife Malta change its entire IT system under a sponsorship agreement.

The company has provided Windows XP Operating Systems and MS Office Professional systems to equip the new network at the BirdLife office in Ta' Xbiex. Microsoft technology is helping BirdLife to collect essential data for conservation initiatives and to manage projects such as satellite monitoring of seabird species and digital mapping of new conservation projects.

Pierre Mallia, business development manager of Microsoft Malta said this sort of support was an integral part of the firm's corporate social responsibility programme.
