Eighty-nine new employees, all graduates in various academic areas including commerce, accountancy, business and computing and business administration, joined Bank of Valletta, yesterday.

The employees were greeted at the bank's centre in Sta Venera by Tonio Depasquale, CEO, accompanied by Igino Xuereb, chief officer, operations and Noel Scerri, executive head, human resources.

Over 90 per cent of the graduates will be deployed at the front of the bank's branches and centres, directly servicing customers.

The employees will be undertaking an intensive induction course at the bank's Training and Development Centre.
