Operators in Bugibba will stop their financial contributions to the Malta Tourism Authority unless the authorities promise to do something to tackle the problems facing tourism, the Chamber for Small and Medium Enterprises, GRTU, has warned.

The chamber will be meeting operators in Bugibba, Qawra and St Paul's Bay to map out a plan of action to be presented to the government. The operators said they were prepared to abide by any action ordered by the GRTU, the chamber said in a statement.

Among other initiatives they have recommended the setting up of an action committee including representatives from the MTA and local councils.
