Punter Agnes Haddock, 50, was celebrating a record win of 668,620 pounds ($1.32 million) last weekend for just a two-pound stake.

Haddock, who runs an ironing service office in Northwich, northern England, picked all six winners in her local betting shop a week ago in a speciality bet called Scoop 6.

That yielded over 410,000 pounds and also entitled her to an extra single bet on Saturday to land a special bonus fund.

She selected 9-4 favourite Taranis in a big race at Sandown Park and the horse battled to a half-a-length victory.

That won Haddock, now thought to be Britain's biggest ever woman betting shop winner, another huge pay-out which brought the grand total to over £668,000.

Haddock, seen cheering the horse home live on Channel 4 at Sandown, said: "I went for Taranis because it was number 13 and I was born on the 13th."
