Razor-sharp technology... literary

Shaving products claimed to be "the world's first razors to feature advanced technology on the front and the back of the blade cartridge" have just been launched in Malta.

"We've created an entirely new, very striking and very sophisticated high-performance system... In fact, nothing even comes close. This is truly the next generation!," Alper Yuksel, Gillette category manager of Procter & Gamble, said at the launch of the Gillette Fusion.

The launch was held at the newly-opened La Rive, in Sliema. Fusion, the manufacturers explain, features a breakthrough five-blade "shaving surface" technology on the front of the cartridge, with blades spaced closer together. The combination of adding more blades and narrowing the inter-blade span creates a "shaving surface" that distributes the shaving force across the blades, resulting in significantly less irritation and more comfort.

The most innovative feature, they add, is the precision trimmer blade, a single blade on the back of the cartridge, which allows men to easily trim sideburns, shave under the nose and shape facial hair with control and precision.

Gillette has also launched a new personal care shaving line, Gillette Fusion, consisting of pre- and post-shaving products. "It has been designed to enhance and improve the shaving experience of the new Gillette Fusion razors," a spokesman for Gillette said.

The complete new range of the Fusion products is available in stores across Malta.
