Mr Ian C. Ellul posed a number of questions about the Caraffa New Year's Eve party which he expected the Occupational Health and Safety Authority to answer (The Sunday Times, January 28).

Mr Ellul would be advised to address his questions to the entities responsible for these parties (such as the police and the Department of Public Health) since his questions do not fall within the OHSA's ambit. The OHSA has no legal power to take action on these matters.
