The Communications Students Association (CommA), which has been dormant since 2003, has been resurrected by six second-year Communications students who recognised the need for more student interaction and involvement at University.

CommA has set up a new Website - www.comma.org.mt - which provides students with updated information about student life, exams, timetables and other essential resources, as well as giving space to students to showcase their talents. Through the Website one can also register for updates and information throughout the year.

CommA aims to encourage student activity, and to foster socialisation and networking. To this end, various academic and socio-cultural events will be organised both on and off-campus.

The emphasis is on experience and the practical side of communications to complement what is taught at the University. CommA also promotes a fun and friendly atmosphere in which students can develop strong working relationships.

In fact, CommA hopes to work with other student organisations and faculties when it comes to different areas of communications to give students the chance to put into practice what they have been taught in the classroom.

Ultimately, CommA provides a channel through which students can voice their concerns, express their opinions and showcase their talents for the benefit of other students, academics and professionals locally and internationally.
