This year's Dhalia annual conference was once again an opportunity for the company's employees and associates to get together and review last year's performance.

Last year was characterised by Dhalia's various initiatives with regard to environmental protection, namely the cleaning-up campaign and re-cycling of office equipment and paper.

Brand image and consolidation ranked high on the company agenda and its ongoing improvement of standard of service continued to be a top priority. November saw Dhalia Real Estate Services being recognised by internatonal property experts with two international awards, namely the five-star Best Real Estate Agency Marketing and four-star Best Real Estate Agency.

In his address, chairman and CEO Franco Valletta noted that this year marked the 25th anniversary since Dhalia's establishment in February 1982.

He made a number of observations relating to the Maltese property market and the implications of the political, economic and social changes on Dhalia's development over this period.

Mr Valletta further commented on the evolution of Dhalia as an organisation over the past quarter century and the business prospects that lie ahead for each office and particularly for every promising employee and associate.

Mr Valletta drew attention to 2007 as a milestone year given the introduction of the Euro on January 1, 2008 and placed considerable emphasis on the moral obligation of every Dhalia associate to give fair and realistic property valuations to prospective vendors, thereby retaining a healthy property market.

Certificates and awards were later delivered in recognition of service excellence and best performance during 2006.
