King: Tottenham Hotspur captain Ledley King will be out for another six to eight weeks with a stress injury in his left foot, the club reported on its Web site on Friday. The England defender first bruised the bone four weeks ago but re-injured the foot in training last week. He has not played since Dec. 26 when Spurs beat Aston Villa 2-1.

Hamburg: Dutchman Huub Stevens is to leave Roda JC Kerkrade immediately to take over at Hamburg SV, the Dutch club. He succeeds Thomas Doll who was sacked on Thursday after Hamburg fell to the bottom of Bundesliga. A statement on the Hamburg website said Stevens, 53, would be signing a contract until the end of June 2008.

Adebayor: Arsenal's Togo striker Emmanuel Adebayor has shrugged off a niggling knee injury and will be fit to face Middlesbrough in the Premier League yesterday, manager Arsene Wenger said. Adebayor injured his right knee during Arsenal's League Cup semi-final win over Tottenham on Wednesday but the injury was not as bad as first thought.
