MITTS assists Uganda in ICT policy development

Uganda's ICT Minister, Ham-Mukasa Mulira visited the Malta Information Technology and Training Services Ltd (MITTS) in Blata l-Bajda whilst attending the Commonwealth Connects seminar.

Commonwealth Connects is an initiative aimed at bridging the digital divide within the Commonwealth. It was set up following the Malta Declaration on Networking the Commonwealth for Development during the 2005 Commonwealth Heads Of Government Meeting (CHOGM). The next CHOGM will be held in Kampala, Uganda, later on this year.

The government of Uganda, through the recently-formed Ministry for ICT, is redefining the country's national ICT priorities.

MITTS Ltd is supporting the Ugandan government in the development of a business-enabling environment through the development of ICT policy, best practice and advocacy initiatives.
