New Zealand beat England by 58 runs in a tri-series one-day international at the WACA in Perth yesterday. Lou Vincent (76), Ross Taylor (71) and Jacob Oram (54 not out) helped New Zealand post a total of 318 for seven, their highest score against England.

England, in reply, made 260 for eight from their 50 overs.

New Zealand's win lifted them five points clear of England in the standings. They are favourites to join Australia in the final.
