After the adoption day will I be able to exchange Maltese lira notes and coins?

The changeover to the euro on January 1, 2008 will provide for a three-month period lasting till March 2008, whereby credit institutions will exchange Maltese notes and coins into euro free of charge. Following this period Maltese lira notes and coins will remain redeemable at the Central Bank of Malta for 10 and two years respectively.
