Police arrest two men over office theft

The police are holding two young men in connection with a theft from an office in St Christopher Street, Valletta, on Monday night.

The police said they were informed of the theft at 9.40 p.m. Preliminary investigations showed that two persons had entered the office. No cash was stolen. Following a search in the vicinity and on the roofs, the police arrested two suspicious-looking men who are assisting them in their investigations.

Duty Magistrate Miriam Hayman appointed several experts to help her in the inquiry.

Police investigations are continuing.
