The international secretary of the Malta Labour Party, Joe Mifsud, has ended a visit to London on the invitation of the president of Britain's General Union and the vice-president of the British Labour Party, Mary Turner.
During his visit, Dr Mifsud followed Prime Minister's Question Time in the House of Commons and met Prime Minister Tony Blair and Chancellor Gordon Brown.
With Mr Blair and Mr Brown, Dr Mifsud discussed the MLP's strategy just days before its annual general conference.
With Mr Brown, he also discussed the MLP's stand regarding the introduction of the euro, the globalisation challenges facing social democratic parties and the Chancellor's economic plan for the Middle East.
