Drugs seized at army checkpoints

The Armed Forces of Malta seized drugs at two vehicle checkpoints on Sunday night.

Personnel from the AFM's 1st Regiment's "C" (Special Duties) Company found drugs when they stopped a car in the south of Malta. Two young people, Maltese and French, were in possession of cannabis and cannabis resin, the AFM said.

Members of the AFM's Qortin Base detained a 23-year-old man from Xewkija found in possession of suspected illegal substances during a vehicle checkpoint in Victoria.
