Smiles glowed on the faces of the thousands who gathered in Valletta yesterday to fete their new spiritual leader, Mgr Paul Cremona. He arrived from the Sliema convent to St Dominic parish church, in Merchants Street at 4.25 p.m. for prayers. The church was packed with people who wanted to get as close as possible to kiss his hands or simply catch his eye. Mgr Cremona had a smile for everybody and he never tired from waving to all those who applauded and chanted Viva Pawlu.
