A 22-year-old woman has been given a two-year jail term suspended for three years after she pleaded guilty to stealing a woman's credit card and defrauding her of over Lm100.

Magistrate Saviour Demicoli heard Lorita Pace, of Paola, plead guilty to stealing Maria Carmela Sammut's APS Visa card, forging her signature and making use of the card in April 2005.

Police Inspector Angelo Gafà prosecuted.

Lawyer Peter Fenech appeared for Ms Pace.
