Government assistance to Church schools

The government gave Church schools Lm11.5 million in 2005 and Lm12.75 million last year, Education Minister Louis Galea told Labour MP Carmelo Abela.

The minister said in reply to a parliamentary question that the sum paid last year was Lm1 million over the budget but it was approved by the Finance Ministry.
