In view of the Episcopal Ordination of Malta's new Archbishop I would like to draw the attention of the St John's Co-Cathedral Foundation to three particular points which might be worth taking note of.

While passing in front of the Co-Cathedral last week I realised how dirty the main balcony was. Wouldn't it be helpful to give this balcony, which is over the main entrance, a good wash before Friday's ordination ceremony? Once this is done I suggest that a festive red cloth (damask) could be properly hung from the balcony.

Another observation is that the main flag pole of the Co-Cathedral needs maintenance to say the least. Can something be remedied before Friday? Can a decent, clean, possibly new flag (yellow and white - Papal flag) eventually fly from the flag pole once it is seen to?

It's true these suggestions or observations might seem futile at this stage but I believe that detail plays a very important part in the organisation of any event in life let alone a national event such as that going to be celebrated on Friday.
