MPs to visit Italy

A delegation from the European and Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives will visit Italy between Monday and Wednesday. The delegation, led by committee chairman Jason Azzopardi, will seek to strengthen the existing good relations between the parliamentary institutions of the two countries through meetings with the chairmen and members of the foreign affairs and European affairs committees. The delegation will meet members of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Italian Senate and its chairman Senator Lamberto Dini.

Another meeting will be with Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, Vatican Secretary of State. The delegation is expected to be invited to attend the Pope's Wednesday audience.
