A 30-year-old man was yesterday charged with stealing items, including watches, a handbag, a dehumidifier and a deep fryer, over the past two months.
Omar Mallia, 30, and Stephen Nappa, 26, were both charged with stealing a stereo and a mobile phone from a car and damaging it on Saturday.
Mr Mallia was also charged with another seven counts of theft, defrauding Luciano Martinelli of about Lm424 and Joseph Agius of some Lm35, misappropriation, escaping from police custody and relapsing.
Mr Mallia, who is currently in jail over another case, was remanded in police custody and Mr Nappa was granted bail against a Lm200 deposit and a personal guarantee of Lm1,000.
Police Inspector Joseph Cordina prosecuted.
