AVELLINO. On January 13, at St Luke's Hospital, RENZO, aged 82, residing at Birkirkara, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. He will be sadly missed by his wife Violet née Pavia, his sons Sandro and his wife Pauline residing in Australia, Marcel and his wife Lilian, his beloved grandchildren Allison, Rosalind and Mariella, his sister Mary widow of Joseph Saliba, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P. The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 2 p.m. for the Carmelite parish church at Fleur-de-Lys where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. DALLI. On January 13, at Casa Antonia Residence, Balzan, GIOVANNA, widow of Gammari (former Labour MP), aged 92, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her dearest children, Mary, widow of Lawrence Xuereb; Carmen and her husband Carmelo Cassar; Ann and her husband Reno Sciberras; John and his wife Josephine; Lana; Fidele and Margo; Josephine and Pietro Isola, Dorothy and her husband Roger Uhlenhaut; Patrick and his wife Helena, her 17 grandchildren and their respective families, her 15 great-grandchildren, Vennie, her niece Carmen, Carmel, other relatives and numerous friends. The funeral leaves Casa Antonia tomorrow at 7.45 a.m. for St Mary's parish church in Gudja, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.30 a.m. followed by interment at Gudja cemetery. Donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siggiewi will be greatly appreciated. Always in our hearts and prayers. Lord grant her eternal rest.

GRIMA. On January 14, at St Luke's Hospital, CARMELO, of Qormi, aged 97, resident in St Julians, widower of Grace née Parnis, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Josephine and her husband Joseph Calleja, Giorgia, widow of Amabile Azzopardi, Edward, residing in Australia, Emanuel and his wife Josephine, Charles and his wife Josephine, Dorothy and her husband Julian Zammit, Joan and her husband Joseph Cassar, Saviour and his wife Maria and Mary, widow of his son Anthony, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P. The funeral leaves St Luke's Hospital today at 1.45 p.m. for Mount Carmel parish church, Balluta, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment in the family vault at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.

On January 13, MAY ANNE, died peacefully at home at the age of 79, leaving to mourn her loss her husband Emmanuele (Lulu), her son Dr Marco Griscti and his wife Helen, her daughter Rina, wife of Dr Henry Antoncich, LLD, her beloved grandchildren Joseph and his girlfriend Ruth, John-Paul, Matteo and Fabio, her sisters Nanette Wirth, Marlene Stellini, Judith Azzopardi and her brother Edward, and their respective spouses, her sister-in-law Maria Carbone, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. - R.I.P. On January 13, NAZJU, aged 93, of St Andrews, former member Civil Defence Corp, widower of Manwela née Vella, passed peacefully away at Zammit Clapp Hospital comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Karmenu and his wife Polly, Margaret and her husband Gorg, Salvu and his wife Lucy, Calci and his wife Susan who live in England, Helen and her husband Ninu, Tony and his wife Rita, Rita and her husband Michael, Maria-Louise and her husband Tony, Joseph widower of his daughter Guza, in-laws and their families, grandchildren, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. - R.I.P. The funeral leaves Zammit Clapp today at 3 p.m. for Ibrag parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3.30 p.m. followed by interment in the family grave at Naxxar cemetery. Tourism workshop

A workshop on Developing A Standard For Sustainable Tourism In The Mediterranean is being organised by the Islands and Small States Institute of the Foundation for International Studies. It will be held at the foundation's offices in Valletta on January 25. The workshop is part of a project in which Cyprus, Greece, Italy and Malta are taking part.

Computer Classes

The National Council of Women will hold evening computer classes for 14 weeks in Mountbatten Street, Blata l-Bajda between 5 and 8 p.m.

The course about awareness commences on January 29, the course about the ECDL Start kicks off on January 31 while the lectures on ECDL Upgrade start on February 1.

Workshop on anger, guilt

A workshop on sharing experiences relating to anger and guilt will be held at Mount St Joseph Retreat House, Targa Gap, Mosta between Friday, January 19 at 6 p.m. and Sunday, January 21 at 5 p.m.

The retreat will be led by Fr Vince Magri together with Mary Cassar and Polly Schembri.

Carnival Listings

The National Folklore Commission will this year hold carnival between February 16 and 20.
