"The objective of this Website is to inform people about what's going on in the European institutions, with particular reference to the European Parliament," said Nationalist MEP David Casa during the launching of his new Website last Friday.

The Website, www.davidcasa.eu, was launched during a press lunch; it gives information about Mr Casa's work in the European Parliament, including news and article archives.

One may also find news reports on EU affairs and the 27 member states. The Website also provides a photo gallery, downloadable material and links to other Websites that may be of interest to visitors.

A calendar of events regarding Mr Casa's activities is also accessible. One may also subscribe to an e-newsletter, which will be issued monthly.

"I believe it is my duty to keep constituents informed of the work I am carrying out as their representative in the European Parliament and also keep them updated with EU news," Mr Casa said.

For this purpose, the Website will be updated three times daily.

Mr Casa and the other Nationalist MEP, Simon Busuttil, belong to the largest grouping in the European Parliament, the European People's Party, but this, he said, did not mean that they did not seek to work together in Malta's interests with the three Labour MEPs (Joseph Muscat, Louis Grech and John Attard Montalto) who belong to the Party of European Socialists.
