Computers stolen from state schools

Nine thefts were reported from state schools last year.

Education Minister Louis Galea said in reply to a parliamentary question yesterday that computers and monitors had been reported stolen from Dun Guzepp Xerri Primary School in St Julians; a keyboard and computers from Antonio Bosio Secondary School, Gzira; computers, monitors, keyboards and UPS from Marija Assumpta Secondary School, Hamrun; a monitor from Annibale Preca Primary School, Lija; a PC, monitor, printer, UPS, speakers and mouse from Primary School B, Zejtun; fire extinguishers from the Boys' Junior Lyceum Guzeppi Despott, Verdala; kitchen utensils from Dun Karm Psaila Secondary School, Zebbug; a monitor, tower and printer from Carlo Diacono Girls' Junior Lyceum, Zejtun and a computer system and laser printer from Guzeppi Agius Primary A School, Paola.

The minister was replying to a question by Adrian Vassallo (MLP).
