The International Committee for the Mediterranean Games (ICMG) recently organised a marketing seminar in Athens.

Marie Therese Zammit, director of the Malta Olympic Committee, represented Malta in this seminar which was held at the offices of the Hellenic Olympic Committee. Other participants came from Cyprus, Morocco, Libya, Albania, Slovenia, Syria, Lebanon, San Marino and hosts Greece.

Speakers included Damian Pintar, marketing consultant for the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and marketing director of the Slovenian Olympic Committee, Elizabeth Allaman, from the marketing company of the IOC, and Yannis Psarellis from the International Olympic Academy.

The seminar discussed strategies to increase the marketing potential of the olympic brand in order to enhance the possibility for more financial advantage and independence.
