Just adding my two bits to the uproar caused over the choice of meat or meatless diet.

Take a meat-eating lion and a grass-eating cow. Cut both at the throat and at the other end. Choose one end and pull out their alimentary canals. The lion's will measure about three times the length of its body. The cow's - about eight times its body length. Do the same to a human and you get an alimentary tract that is closer in length to the cow's. Human teeth and movement of jaw are closer to those of grass-eating animals.

Some time ago a friend shared this vegetarian creed - I don't eat anything that has a face (fish do have faces). I don't eat anything that has a mother and a father. I don't eat anything that would have sex if I let it live long enough. I won't eat anything that will run away from me if it knew that I was going to kill it and eat it.

It doesn't matter what side of the fence you are on. Know what you are eating, exercise, drink plenty of water, don't smoke, get enough rest, love and be loved and enjoy life. There is no dress rehearsal!
