The Nationalist Party has paid tribute to the PN Pensioners' Association president, Maurice Debono, who died yesterday aged 75.

Mr Debono was a man of strong principles and values, which were clearly reflected in his long years of work with the party, the PN said.

He was active in all the party's structures, serving, among others, as a local councillor in Cospicua, after he was elected on the PN ticket.

Mr Debono was appointed president of APAN in January 2005, following the death of Tony Borg.
