Flooding of underground shelter (2)

As a resident of St Augustine parish in Valletta, I cannot let the letter That Bomb Proof Shelter by Fr Mark Cauchi go unanswered.

Let it be known that the present administration led by young, energetic and much loved parish priest Fr Saviour Grima has risen head and shoulders above all obstacles to restore and use the other halls and rooms mentioned instead of the damp parish hall.

These halls are now our pride and joy where our children are cared for and prepared to be good Christians. Regarding the parish hall, Fr Mark should know that this centre, besides the Saturday youths, is used also regularly for bingo, social gatherings, parties etc.

Last month state-of-the-art toilets were added. A new entrance to the wartime shelters has been opened making it more easy for the visitor to go down.
