A 19-year-old woman is in hospital suffering from serious injuries following an accident at Salini Street, Naxxar, on Wednesday afternoon.

The police said yesterday a Subaru J10 driven by the girl was involved in a collision with a Renault Clio.

An ambulance was called and personnel from the Civil Protection Department released the girl from the badly damaged car.

The driver and the passengers of the Renault were not injured.

Police investigations are continuing.
