New laws on CD

The Department of Information is, fourth year running, publishing all the Acts of Parliament, legal notices and bye-laws issued in 2006 on compact disc.

Previously, main and subsidiary legislation was annually published in April, usually consisting of about 16 printed books containing over 10,000 pages and costing more than Lm30 in total.

The publication of main and subsidiary legislation in print format is now being discontinued.

They are now being compressed into just two CDs, one of them containing 20 Acts passed in Parliament in 2006 and the other featuring all 336 legal notices and two local council bye-laws issued in the same year. The CDs will be on sale at the beginning of February.

The price for both CDs will be Lm12 but any one CD can be bought separately for Lm6.

However, as a pre-launch offer, persons who book the set of two CDs by the end of January will be able to purchase them for the special price of Lm8.50.
