Here's a thought: being born again

Christmas is the joy of being promised deliverance from impossible situations we have woven around ourselves and one another in Malta. Belief in Christ as the Son of God made flesh cuts through all our pseudo loves in personal relations at home.  

From our deepest inner hurts, Christ is himself Europe's liberation, not just in family matters, but also in our life further afield. He is the answer to all our heartfelt sorrow for sin. Wanting deeper contact with Christ makes for rediscovering true human love in being born again.

A silent politician can recognise the true nature of marriage from the spousal promise of the human body reflecting divine Trinitarian love itself. Here lies the true nature of a family, a married love that is both intimate and personal, and fruitful.

Love does indeed overflow from the family and give fruit as a personal love that is universal as public friendship making for future solidarity.

Be it in politics, business, or anything else, we all have a role in the dynamism of reality today. What good is there for anyone in the subtle self-deceptions that irregular intimate relationships are tantamount to families?

Throughout the world this Christmas come bow in true humility: welcome God as the Son of Man. He offers all a happier life in a new birth in true peace.
