European youth meeting of UNESCO clubs movement

Albert V. Rutter, chairman of UNESCO Club (Malta) and two members of the youth group - Gianfranco Abela and Christian Borg - participated at the European Youth Meeting of the UNESCO clubs movement held in Athens from December 1 to 3.

UNESCO clubs from 16 countries were represented at the meeting.

Mr Rutter had talks with UNESCO officials as well as Greek officials at the conference. The two youth representatives took an active part in the conference, particularly in the two workshops which discussed the theme "discovering each other, exchanged information, best practices and experiences".

As a result of this meeting Mr Rutter was invited to become a member of the executive board of councils of the Mediterranean Inter-Cultural Centre of Greece in Rhodes.
