The number of registered unemployed last month stood at 7,333, 140 more than in the same month last year, according to data from the Employment and Training Corporation released by the National Statistics Office.

The unemployment rates for last month will be published when the data on the supply for this month become available, the NSO said.

The last unemployment rate available was that for July which stood unchanged at 4.6 per cent.
