I was very glad to obtain Georgeta Takiris's address in France, the same day my letter appeared in The Times.

Following the demise of Carmelo (Karmenu) Azzopardi from Rabat, the main link between Dr Takiris and the prospective adoptive parents, many were asking his widow about the current address, but it seems that they tore all documents, and some (Dr Takiris's clients) were contacting me since they knew we had visited her in Romania a few years ago.

The first thing we are going to organise in remembrance of Mr Azzopardi is a Mass for his repose on the sixth month since his demise on December 22 at St Paul's parish church in Rabat at 6 p.m. All those who have adopted through his contacts are encouraged to come to pay homage to this very kind person, who never charged a single cent for his services which sometimes included overseas telephone calls.

We are also considering organising a lunch or dinner for all those who adopted through Dr Takiris, and those who are interested should contact me either through my telephone no 2166 0412 or my mobile phone 7920 4394 or else through my e-mail address at eugenesapiano @euroweb.net.mt, and if Dr Takiris can make it she would also be invited to attend.
