The lane on Manwel Dimech bridge leading to Paceville is now open to traffic, the Malta Transport Authority said yesterday.

The lane was temporarily closed to traffic after a Scammel truck hit and damaged the railings. Checks were carried out on the bridge to see whether it is safe enough to continue to take traffic.

The authority has urged drivers to follow the diversion signs put up for the duration of the works and to avoid the area as much as possible.
