The Exhibitions Society of St Joseph the Worker parish of Birkirkara is holding an exhibition of about 50 cribs in different media at the parish hall, 71, Bwieraq Street, Birkirkara until January 1.

The exhibition includes some very old cribs including a mechanised one.

This year's exhibition pays tribute to folk singer Frans Baldacchino (Il-Budaj) who had been one of the first crib exhibitors of the society. In fact, when he died earlier this year he was in the process of making a crib for display. Although his crib was not completed, it is on show at the exhibition.

The exhibition is open to the public daily from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Sundays and feast days from 9 a.m. to noon and 4.30 to 8 p.m. (until 6 p.m. only on Christmas Day and on January 1).
