Sooner or later Arabic will have to evolve into the Latin script due to progress in information technology and cellular telephony. In fact, many Arabs send their SMS in the Latin text and not in the Arabic script. The Turks did it way back in the 1920s under Kemal Ataturk, 80 years ago, at a time when IT and cellular telephony were still far away.
The best alphabet that fits the Arabic language is the Maltese alphabet of 28 letters. The Maltese language originally was Arabic but became corrupted through the centuries under various foreign dominations.
