The local warden educational campaign, which started in Gozo, has been extended to Sliema, St Julian's, Pembroke, San Gwann, Swieqi, Gzira and Ta' Xbiex, which form part of the Joint Committee Group H.
This campaign does not mean that no enforcement is carried out, but it complements this enforcement by increasing the presence of wardens on the roads who will, during specific times, educate rather than enforce.
Letters in fact are sent out to all drivers who would have contravened one of the road regulations and are encouraged to take more care in future.
The public has responded positively to this campaign and the authorised officer confirms that various phone calls have been received complimenting the councils for this initiative.
The Joint Committee also thanks the contractor, the Guard and Warden Service House Ltd., for their support in this initiative.
