Dreams and magic

Selene's magic and Selene's Dream are two permanent art exhibitions by Vince Caruana, being hosted at Maji's Wine and Dine and Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz, respectively.

Caruana's works present a wonderful opportunity to view Malta's landscape imagery in an impressionistic way with a contemporary edge. His art bears witness to a unique style that is the product of the skills and techniques he has been developing through his artistic life.

He recently returned from Florence where he obtained a Master's in Visual Arts from the Libera Accademia di Belle Arti.

Born in 1979, Vince Caruana has also studied at the Malta School of Arts and Scranton College of Arts in Pennsylvania, US. He currently lives and works in Gozo and teaches art at the Gozo Centre for Art and Crafts.

Despite his youth, the artist has already held three solo exhibitions. His first was Impressions in space... images in time, followed by Mirage... a last glimpse at a very old island, and Melita's Mystique... one artist's dream - all held at the Exhibition Hall of the Ministry of Gozo.

He has also participated in several collective exhibitions including the Malta Biennale, Madiera International Arte Bienal (Portugal), Tempra Academy (Connecticut, US), Akademie Klausenhof of Hamminken (Germany), and the Loggia del Grano at the Uffizi Centre and the Quarter in Florence.
