The Malta Chess Federation (www.chessmalta.com) recently held their annual general meeting during which the council for the next term was elected. G.D. Borg is the president and C. Pace general secretary. The annual Chess Simultaneous Exhibition was held recently at the Società Filarmonica Sliema. The first round of the Malta Open 2006 was due to start this week.
