In the deciding encounter for the 2006 women's APS Cup, it was Aloysians who collected the three points to secure the first trophy of the season.

The match was an uphill struggle for La Salle as Aloysians raced into a comfortable lead which they preserved till the end of the first half.

The second half was a different story as La Salle dominated the opening minutes to narrow the gap to only one goal.

La Salle's comeback was spoiled when goalkeeper Dorianne Tabone was sent off after protesting excessively with the referee.

After this episode, it was again one-way traffic as Aloysians were back to their best. They scored the very last goal of the game through a brilliant shot from Brenda Camilleri from nine metres out.
