Model boating
The Malta Model Boating Association recently held the 2006 National Championships, sponsored by Boats 'n Sails, at the Valletta Waterfront. After the 15 races on Day One, Albert Micallef looked favourite for the championship with eight wins. However, consistent placings over the two days of competition resulted in a convincing win for Vinnie Zammit. He finished with 51 points while Micallef (73) had to settle for second place. A. Desira (75) was third. The B Fleet honours went to Luca Ellul.
