Admission to Church schools

Applications for admission to kindergarten, pre-grade and Year 1 at Church schools next year will be received at the Secretariat for Catholic Education and Culture, the Archbishop's Curia, Floriana.

The criteria for entry will remain those established in the past few years: brothers and sisters in the same school, children from Church homes, three children in every class on the basis of grave humanitarian cases and the rest by ballot.

Parents will apply for admission on a single form. On application, parents will indicate their choice of school. Following the draw by ballot, children will be assigned to schools according to their placing in the ballot to the available places in each school and to the indicated preference.

Application forms will be available from the Archbishop's Curia, from 9 a.m. till noon and from 3 to 5 p.m. as follows:

January 8, 2007 for kindergarten - children born in 2004.

January 9, 2007 for pre-grade - children born in 2003.

January 10, 2007 for Year 1 - children born in 2002.

The dates when the applications, duly filled in, should be presented at the Archbishop Curia will be announced concurrently with the issuing of the application forms.
