Maltese filmmaker Clifford Borg-Marks's feature-length documentary on the world of Subbuteo table football The Hobby has won a Paladino d'Oro Special Prize at the 28th Palermo International Sport Film Festival.
Mario Spiteri, general secretary of the Federation of International Sport Table Football, received the prize on the filmmaker's behalf at the gala award ceremony, held in the presence of numerous Italian sport and media personalities.
This is the second award won by the film in Italian film festivals and follows the Guirlande d'Honneur for Best Documentary (Individual Sport) in Milan last year. The Hobby was also selected by festivals in the UK, Russia and The Netherlands.
It was produced by Yansun Creatures Limited and is represented by Electric Sky, the UK-based distributor of factual entertainment.
