Chamber calls for Gozo tourism body

The Gozo Business Chamber yesterday expressed dismay at the Gozo-based holiday segment being withdrawn by the Malta Tourism Authority, and called for the setting up for a separate authority for the sister island.

"We are surprised at the fact that such an important destination is not being recognised as such, and we appeal to those in authority to review the decision.

"We also firmly believe that Gozo should be marketed and promoted on its own and, therefore, to attain this end, a Gozo Tourism Authority should be set up," the chamber said.
