The Malta U-19 team were beaten by Georgia 2-0 in a friendly international played at the Ta' Qali Training Grounds yesterday.

The Georgians took just two minutes to take the lead before adding a second goal seven minutes after the interval. Despite having a player sent off late in the first half, Georgia were technically superior and rarely allowed Malta to create any scoring opportunities.

This was the second meeting between the two sides this week. On Tuesday, Georgia beat Malta by three clear goals.
