Young driver Shawn Formosa has replaced Charles Degiorgio in the Maltese team to take part in the Prix de Malte tomorrow evening at the Vincennes racetrack in Paris.

Degiorgio, currently plying his trade in Sweden, had to give up his spot on Malta's seven-man line-up as he will compete in the final of a prestigious V75 Level race in Scandinavia this weekend.

The other drivers in the Maltese team for the Prix de Malte are Charles Camilleri, Noel Baldacchino, George Schembri, Frencu Cassar, Tony Demanuele and Carmelo Farrugia.

The Prix de Malte will be held over a distance of 2,100 metres with autostart. Michel Lenoir and Thierry Duvaldestin were the top drivers in the first two Prix de Malte races.

The Maltese drivers will be bidding to overcome the challenge of seven French drivers to record their first success in this competition, organised by the French association SECF.
